County Standard
Above is the Guiding Trefoil and the Golden Jubilee symbol, as the Standard was dedicated in 1960.
It was commissioned by the then County Commissioner, Dame Ann Parker-Bowles and made at the Convent of Good Shepherd in Windlesham, Surrey.
- The County Badge being a Stag upon a Mount eating an Oak Tree.
- The Motto - Be Prepared.
- A Race-horse - South East Division in which is Ascot Racecourse.
- Windsor Castle - North East Division.
- An Acorn - Symbolises the amount of Woodland in the County and Forest Division.
- Donnington Castle - An Ancient monument in South Division.
- The White Horse - representsthe Vale of the White Horse. (This is now in Oxfordshire)
- Cockleshell - From the coat of arms of Reading Abbey and represents the Abbey Division.
- Through the centre of the County flows the River Thames. This is symbolised by the wavy line and also represents the Riverside Division.
